John Madison Farrow

John Madison Farrow was born in Culpepper County Virginia in 1811. He appears in Victoria, Republic of Texas, in 1839 and applied for a land grant as a single man. By 1842 he was in business on Tremont Street in Galveston and received his land grant on Dec. 7, 1846. He and his wife Tabitha spent the Civil War years in Houston. In 1847 John Steven Farrow, was born in Galveston to John M. Farrow and Tabitha Farrow. This John Farrow was the Great-Great-Grandfather of Steve Nicol, member of the Sidney Sherman Chapter 2, Sons of the Republic of Texas.
